July events: Scarborough Cricket Festival

Scarborough, North Yorkshire

The annual festival is one of the most historic sporting events in the world and has played host to some great cricketers over the years.

The Scarborough Cricket Festival is an end-of-season series of cricket matches featuring Yorkshire County Cricket Club and has been held in the seaside resort of Scarborough, on the east coast of Yorkshire, since 1876.

The cricket ground, at North Marine Road, welcomes large crowds of holidaymakers and locals alike to watch county cricket at its best. The event makes a great day out for those who live and breathe cricket, as well as people who are new to the sport.

Whether it's sitting in the stands enjoying a relaxing summer afternoon with friends, or hosting a more formal affair in the Pavilion, this festival is not to be missed.
